Description

Level 0.01 is a sublevel of Level 0. It is commonly mistaken for an actual exit to the Backrooms by inexperienced travelers. It appears almost identical to Level 0, but instead it is only one endless hallway. Every stretch of hallway is a copy of all the others. This is caused by a repeating effect, to the extent that if you leave an item on the floor and enter the next corridor, the item is in the same place in that corridor, and all others after it. This level is individual to each traveler, so it is impossible to come across any other beings (entities or humans) while here. This endless hallway has only left turns, no matter which direction you are facing. These left turns occur every 50 meters traveled. This happens most of the time, save some exceptions like living tissue, so, if you stand in a corner and look to another corner, as to where you would be replicated, you cannot see yourself. However, this may just mean that you are unable to see a duplicate of yourself.

As one repeatedly continues to follow these hallways, many lose mental stability and eventually go insane. It is common for many to continue to devolve into insanity and end up transforming into Insanities. These Insanities are thought to roam these corridors for the rest of time, however, it is speculated that some have found ways to exit this level.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

In Level 0, this level is encountered by coming across a red door with the word “EXIT” written on it in green bold text. After touching the door, one is immediately in Level 0.01. After this, no matter if you try to run away, you are already in the level and there is nothing but hallways.
This level is often arrived at through doors in various levels. These doors resemble gray "Fire Exit" doors that are commonly found in The Frontrooms. These doors are theorized to appear in every level of the backrooms (except Level 0 of course), but it has only been proven to be so for Level 1, Level 4, Level 5, and Level 36.

Exits

Falling asleep has a 50% chance to send you to Level 0.69
Falling asleep has another 50% chance to send you to Level 2.2
If one noclips into the inside wall of this level. They are transported back to Level 0.
There is a 0.01% chance that no-clipping into the outer wall will send you to Level 100. However, all other times, you will noclip into Level -1
If this corridor is repeated 500 times, one will come across a small golden button in the corner, which, if pressed, will transport one to Level 1. However, if you walk past it and then go back for it, it will be gone. This is a repeating occurrence until the 10,000^th corridor, by which it has appeared 20 times.
If one’s mental stability is poor enough, a door with 6”, sharp, yellow teeth surrounding it will be hallucinated. The worse one’s mental stability, the more teeth that appear and the more gory it appears. This door leads to Level 0.02. However, this only occurs once, when one’s mental stability is low enough, and one other time, 2,000 corridors after. As this door is not real and is, in fact, a hallucination, any external view of this occurrence will make it appear that one is simply walking through a wall.
If the corridor is repeated 100,000 times, the corridor that is encountered is 100 meters long, and there is a bright light at the end of it. Many believe that this leads to Level 9223372036854775807, but this has not been proven, as the exploration drone that came across it was crashed into the wall by some seemingly hostile entity force.
